Our Mission
SCORE Chapter 201 provides free and confidential counseling and training services to prospective and established small business owners in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. We strive to do so consistent with the skills, best practices and demands of today's small businesses.
Chapter History
Since the Auburn SCORE Chapter was founded in 1968, couselors have assisted more than 1,400 clients who wanted to start their own buisness or were in business and needed assistance. We are an active chapter with more than 14 volunteer members, almost all of whom are counselors. Chapter 201 counselors are experienced business owners, managers and educators who volunteer their time and experience to help current and future small business owners achieve success.
The objective of the Auburn Chapter is to communicate and deliver business focused information, knowledge and insight all of which is valuable for, and understandable by, our clients. Our volunteer business counselors are dedicated to providing the best possible service. Face-to-face, by phone or online, our counselors are able and willing to aid in the successful beginning or expansion of small business. SCORE counselors provide in-depth, industry-specific business assistance to help evaluate a business idea or plan, stimulate business growth and contribute to long-term stability.
The Auburn Chapter provides free and confidential business advice and counseling tailored to meet the needs of your small business and your personal objectives. For a modest fee, our chapter also offers workshops for both start-up and in-business entrepreneurs.
